Lex hated being on this sub. But here she was. And for a stupid reason too. Something about strange noises and occurrence and blah, blah blah. It was a fucking submarine deep underwater. Of course, it was going to make strange noises. The only reason she entertained the idea was because admin like Remiel Calcifet were concerned and curious. It beat raiding yet another building in Slateport to drive off ghosts. So, against her better judgement, she volunteered for the search party since her talents might be useful.

She leaned forward slightly, arms crossed as Remy pointed to a particular area on the map. The Gastly that hung closely to her shoulder peered at it too, his eyes wide with the excitement and anticipation of an adventure. ‘Inner workings’ was a nice way to put crawling through walls and vents and shit (hopefully not actual shit though), something a flexible, agile, and non-claustrophobic thief would be ideal for, “Yea, sure, I can start there,” she said with the slightest shrug of her shoulders. The faster they got started, the faster she could finish and get off this sub.

Remiel Calcifet @all the people

Sitting some distance away from the admin, evidently engaged in his own business, Gavin looks up from his phone at the mention of exploring. He hated the submarine more than most, but the recent reports of unexplained phenomenon aboard the watercraft had piqued his interest regardless.

"I can lead a different group port-side."

Gavin rises from the couch upon which he'd been sitting, his Rotom-possessed phone drifting out of his hand and into his pocket as he closes whatever he'd been looking at prior. He crosses the lounge, amber eyes drifting over the others.

"Be warned that it might be dangerous," he adds, to anyone listening. "There's not only been strange noises but attacks, as well. If any of you have Pokemon small enough to scout for you, I'd recommend it."

As if in response to the words, Gavin's phone peeks out from the pocket it had deposited itself into.

“I'll take the 'alpha' now so that we can start looking!”

His statement is delivered with the cheekiest of tone. While his attention is buried on his phone, he tries hard to look attentive with their assignment. He hears the same enigma with Cillian Quinn during their uneventful submarine cleanup. Where he thinks the situation is nothing out of the ordinary, the underboss thinks otherwise.

Which is why he finds himself in here with the rest of the curious Rockets.

“Sorry babe, admin wishes.” He teases Gavin, which he knows he will not get a desirable reaction from. Being the other half of the pair who witnesses it outside the submarine, he reckons it is best to share their gathered information to both teams.

His attention shifts to his girl Alexandra Briarwood, then to Remiel Calcifet. “Shall we start?”

"Wright, you're with me."

Gavin gestures the scientist over with a free hand, the other reaching for a ball at his belt. His Porygon emerges in an awkward, glitching mess that's rather uncomfortable to look at; the underboss elects to train his gaze on Yuan Wright instead.

"Guess we're 'Bravo Squad.' He sounds amused, inclining his head toward bryan delarosa as the other approaches. Though he barely acknowledges the presence of Head Scientist Lulu Flint, he offers Emma Wolfe a startlingly genuine smile, the likes of which most in Rocket never saw. "Mind if I snatch one of those spiders, love? You may as well lead a team of your own." She was an admin, after all, and the one in this room he trusted the most. "'Charlie' Squad?" Gavin smirks, a soft chuckle rising in his throat.

He's ever-impressed by his sister's inventions, but the sting of of their recent argument is fresh in mind. When he addresses her, it's with the firm professionalism expected between colleagues. "We'll take one of your cameras as well, Flint; keep everyone in the loop who wants to be."

Beside him, Porygon-Z makes a noise reminiscent of an old dial-up tone, and Gavin winces as it assaults his eardrums.

Lex subconsciously stood a little straighter as her superior Cillian Quinn spoke up. She was wasn’t expecting to see him here. Wouldn’t he be too busy for something as trivial as this?

But his warning said otherwise. And Gavin’s word held a certain weight to the thief, breaking her barrier of doubt. Lex’s arms cross and the brow above her scarred eye raises in interest. Dangerous? The rest of the participants started going on and on about attacks and whatnot. Someone left this part out of her briefing. Her brows furrow and lips purse. What the hell did she sign up for?

She’s impressed with the variety of technology at their disposal. Lex had quite a few small pokemon perfect for infiltration, ones she had specifically trained herself for tasks such as these. Lex wasn’t fancy, she did things the old-fashioned way. But given the surprising circumstances she now found herself in . . . “I guess taking one wouldn’t hurt,” she said to Lulu Flint and Emma Wolfe, her pokemon could always flank one of the spiders or cameras is needed, “Or if you have any extra cameras, I have several pokemon suited for the job,” she didn’t see any extras lying around though.

Lex flashed Valerio Dachev a quick grin, “Ready when you are,” she shifts her gaze to Remiel Calcifet.
